DESCRIPTION: This exquisite light and breathable cotton saree creation is crafted perfectly to make the summer lighter and less warm. Made from the finest soft cotton, this fabric offers a luxurious feel against the skin, ensuring comfort throughout the day. The lightweight and breathable nature of the cotton make it perfect for all seasons, allowing you to stay cool and stylish no matter the occasion. Adding to the charm of this fabric is the elegant Zari border, meticulously woven with metallic threads to create a mesmerizing contrast against the soft cotton base. The intricate patterns and motifs on the Zari border reflect the rich heritage of Kanchipuram weaving, showcasing the skill and artistry of local artisans.
FABRIC CARE:
1. Gentle Washing: Hand washing is generally the best method for cleaning cotton sarees. Use a mild detergent and lukewarm water to gently wash the saree. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, as they can damage the fabric.
2. Avoid Soaking: Do not soak cotton sarees for long periods, as this can cause the colors to bleed and the fabric to weaken. Instead, gently swirl the saree in the soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
3. Cold Water Rinse: After washing, rinse the saree in cold water to remove any remaining detergent. Cold water helps to preserve the colors and prevent shrinkage.
4. Drying: Hang the saree to dry in a shaded area away from direct sunlight. Avoid wringing or twisting the saree, as this can distort its shape. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water and then lay it flat on a clean towel to dry.
5. Ironing: Iron the saree while it is still slightly damp to remove wrinkles. Use a medium to high heat setting and iron on the reverse side of the fabric to prevent any damage to the delicate embroidery or embellishments.
6. Storage: Store cotton sarees in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Avoid hanging sarees for long periods, as this can cause stretching. Instead, fold them neatly and store them in a breathable cotton or muslin bag to protect them from dust and moisture.
7. Occasional Dry Cleaning: If your cotton saree has heavy embroidery or intricate embellishments, consider dry cleaning it occasionally to maintain its quality and appearance. Be sure to choose a reputable dry cleaner experienced in handling delicate fabrics.
